mount nebo, utah county
hiked up Mt. Nebo, almost 12,000 feet, we had to bury the tents because of the high winds. We started around 5,000 ft, camped at 10, 400. Started hiking around 4:30 am, the next day, but could not avoid the very high winds, sunrise from the south peak, looking toward the north peak. Snowshoes to 10,400, crampons after that. I ran out of food, luckily mike gave me cheese and chocolate at the summit. Hiking to camp with 45 lbs was tough, hiking to 12,000 without a pack was a relatively easy. Note to self, always hire a sherpa.
