Deboche may 9

Walked from base camp to Deboche, left the strange foggy tents of base camp down into Deboche with Chris, we had my favorite lunch, garlic soup and hard boiled eggs. In the evening I took a walk along the stone path through the rhodadendron forest with Cam and Meryl. We talked about the mountain, how close we were, saw the rare musk deer, and tried to get into the Deboche Buddhist nunnery, the sign said 'for old nuns', I wanted an old nun to tell me a story. The place was very old and decrepit, with only a single light that we could see. A very old bundle of bones and rags came over gesturing to us, I said 'look, she wants us to come in and sit around the fire with the nuns' 'No" Meryl said, "she is telling us to go away!"
