Tambopaxi lodge, really in the middle of nowhere, at about 12,000 feet it is a popular place to acclimatize for nearby volcanoes.

Under the majesty of the Cotopaxi Volcano and surrounded by five other volcanoes of the Cordillera de los Andes, lies Hosteria Tambopaxi. This hotel in Cotopaxi, Ecuador is the only ecolodge and acclimatization center situated at an altitude of 3750 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Cotopaxi National Park. Where the animals don’t graze the grass grows in clumps
about two or three feet high. There were lots of blueberries, on blueberry bushes when we
drove in.
My window looks out on the side of a hill and there are lots
of brown rabbits hopping around and the weather goes from clear to cloudy to
foggy which is what it is right now.
Mount Chimbarazo
Chimborazo tomorrow. Chimbarazo summit is the furthest point from the equator (the earth in not actually a sphere, it bulges at the equator)
