School in Namche

A 5 year old girl poked her head into our room this morning, she was very curious and very cute.
She said her name was tshering. Later at breakfast her mother offered to take us with them when they walked to school up the long path. We discussed the Himalayan winters and summers, one cold, the other wet. We were greeted at the school by kami Sherpa, the English teacher who gave us a short history of Sherpa language and of the school, which was built with the help of an italian climber alpinist. Go climbers! We visited every class. Now we head for Tengbouche.
