Yikes! Rest day may 7

So we are lounging around, I took a "shower" which consisted of a bucket of warm water with a pitcher inside the shower tent. We took a little walk to the Ama Dablam lodge, that I never knew existed, about 15 minutes from base camp. Who knew? Well, everyone knows now because they spray painted on the rocks the signage and lots of arrows, in purple. If you are thinking wow, a lodge, time for hot chocolate, think again. This is a sorry affair with no heat and the reputation for making everyone sick who stays there. Tom borrowed a book and headed back to our beloved high ceiling tent. Except on the way a very excited Nima was having a conversation with the Austrian Sherpa that had me leading up the mountain from camp 3 to the summit to fix the lines for everyone else, nice little 600 foot climb up blue ice at 22,000 feet. There are climbing sherpas and various levels of carrying and guiding sherpas, and it looks like nima is short one climbing sherpa. Nima had been in a Sherpa meeting all afternoon that involved a few drinks, and he was very excited. The current plan is we leave base camp tomorrow and just stay up there until we are done. My kind of plan. Goodbye cruel world.
