It is Saturday, yesterday was the market day here and all llamas in the area are here to read the entire scriptures over the course of six days, we heard their songs and voices as we walked down the steps from Khumjung, a unique Sherpa village where many children in the area go to school. School is out early on Friday, and we watched two beautiful children eating a chocolate donut with their mom...the baker knows us and now gives us discounts and plays eerie and beautiful Tibetan music. I bought an ancient yak bone necklace from one of the vendors along the dusty path. Today we had church using boiling hot water and fresh bread, singing hymns, we are the only people in the lodge.
