Lilongwe and the Country Side

Rashid Johnson in Kansas City...including cultural memories of Africa, even ideas about nature

Peter and his fiancee and a baptism in the green water in the back of the church

Lilongwe at 6:30 AM, billboards that describe whatever you might find in the stores.

The road to SAFI which is a school for agriculture for families, way out in the country where we worked on our projects. They had just harvested corn and every house had a large pile of corn in the front. The landscape was dotted with piles of corn stalks and corn husks.

The feet that touch the earth

my project is corn husk dolls. and taking picture of feet. I realized after a while that what the villages really need is an artist in residence to make things.
