Playing Soccer in India

Besides studying esoteric Buddhist texts and discussing theories of emptiness, the favorite activity is playing soccer with the local children and taxi drivers. These are serious games, the only problem is that the little field is at the top of a small mountain with precipitous drops on every side.

Even with a deflated ball, there are frequent breaks while the ball rolls down the mountain.

But this gives me time to contemplate the mountains beyond the  field, and since I play goalie, keeps the score from getting  too out of hand.

The Tibetan community makes recycled paper in a small paper mill, where they employ recent refugees from Tibet.

Lunch can take a ridiculously long time, so everyone brings a book.

If you want to get somewhere, say the Tibetan library, never stop at the paper mill with a group of artists.
